This blog is a collection of information about the 2016 the Artist in Residence program in Fredericton, New Brunswick. It includes weekly press releases, photographs, interview transcriptions, and special events pages. The summer-long program has been run by the Fredericton Arts Alliance, a registered charity, for 15 years. Visit http://www.frederictonartsalliance.ca for information about the FAA and their other programs.
The Artist in Residence program takes place at the Soldiers’ Barracks in downtown Fredericton’s Historic Garrison District. The barracks were built between 1826 and 1828, and the casemates at the bottom are now used for 7 boutiques, some storage for the City of Fredericton’s Under the Stars Film Series, and the FAA’s Artist in Residence Program.
The casemate is open to the public seven days a week:
Monday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday noon to 5 p.m.
